I don't think there's "no chance of him getting better".

I think to this point, he hasn't gotten very much better - and this was supposed to be a "show-me" year.  A little, sure, but only in short spurts.  See the stats I posted from Fields since the Commanders game.  He was terrible to start the year, had two great weeks in a row against statistically bad defenses, and has been mediocre since.  That's the Fields story this year.

Again, 30 new players a lot of them 1st and 2nd year players. Offensive linemen (among other  positions)shuffling in at out of the lineup for extended periods. Injuries, still lacking in overall talent and inadequate coaching but Fields is the problem and only problem and can’t get better. GTFOH

Since you love to bring up Mahomes against the Broncos D, worth noting that Josh Allen was considerably more productive in one half against the Chiefs defense than Fields was in the whole game.

And he lost his wallet yesterday so he's been scatter brained, and his grandma passed away last offseason, etc.  Yeah, we get it.

He's been mediocre-to-bad outside of two weeks this year, sure, but it's not like he deserves any blame for that.

As far as I can tell literally nothing, ever, is Justin Fields’ fault.  He’s totally blameless for his own play in every situation.  That’s the only way you can discuss this - any time someone points out that Fields hasn’t been good or a bad game he had, you say that it was not his fault.

He did not.  99 passing yards.  Josh Allen has 150 at halftime, and you called it “mediocre”.
