Since you love to bring up Mahomes against the Broncos D, worth noting that Josh Allen was considerably more productive in one half against the Chiefs defense than Fields was in the whole game.

Yeah, it was Fields’ fault that game was over in the first quarter. His fault, and his fault only.

I mean, it could’ve been less over if he’d moved the ball or scored points.

He did not.  99 passing yards.  Josh Allen has 150 at halftime, and you called it “mediocre”.

He. Couldn’t be anyone else’s fault. It’s ONLY his fault.

Nothing is ever his fault, I know, I know.

Can’t expect a third year QB to get 100 yards passing, that’s asking a lot.

Does he deserve any blame for his own personal performance in the Chiefs game?

I think in most football discussions, pointing out that that was a poor performance isn’t controversial at all - but somehow with you, you immediately jump in to deflect blame and defend the performance.

It’s odd, no? Is it really controversial to say a third year guy getting 99 passing yards in a full game isn’t a very good performance?

Along with everyone else wearing a C on their helmets.

Here's the discussion thread.

I said, "Does he deserve any blame for his own personal performance in the Chiefs game?" and you responded "Along with everyone else wearing a C on their helmets.".  You literally couldn't even say "yes, he deserves blame for his own personal performance in that game".  You also blamed "everyone else wearing a C on their helmets" for Fields' own personal performance against the Chiefs.

One thing I will say:

I'm a Bears fan.  If the Bears keep Fields I will think that's a mistake, but if they trade back for more picks, get MHJ, and maybe an OT or edge rusher with their other first, I will be all in next year.  But at that point there can be no more excuses for Fields, he needs to produce.

Dude is mad that I said the whole team played bad in a game they were losing 34-0 at the half. Cant make this shit up.

Wow; very demanding. I was planning on stretching this out another 7 or 8 seasons…

No.  I think it's funny that you literally could not say "Fields played bad" in a game like that.

When I asked if he deserved any blame for HIS OWN performance, you could not say "yes, he does."  You blamed "everyone with a C on their helmet" for his performance.

Fields played bad. So did just about everybody.

Yep, but I didn't ask about anybody but Fields.

I asked if Fields deserved blame for his own personal performance and instead of saying "yes", you deflected by trying to talk about other people.

Agreed. The one thing that will suck is if Fields continues to not be able to pass or progress. Won’t get the opportunity we have this off season if we pass in a QB. I do think we could get a ton to trade back though. That would be nice.
I didn’t know that. Thanks!

You blamed "everyone with a C on their helmet" for his performance.

Show me specifically where I said his bad performance was others’ fault. I said everyone played bad. Not the same thing.

I literally JUST posted the thread.

You couldn't say "yes".  You said, well EVERYONE deserves blame for Fields' personal performance.

I didn't think it would be controversial to say that Fields played poorly in that game, but you made a controversy of it immediately.

Why does everyone think you MUST take a guy at the top of the draft?

Rodgers, Wilson, Lamar, Hurts, Purdy, Dak, Jordan Love, not to mention Brees, Brady, Marino, Favre etc. you don’t have to draft a guy at the top of the first round to find a quarterback.

Plus, if they trade back, good chance they’ll have a high pick next year.

At some point they may want to start winning games so politicians become willing to spend money on a new stadium.

Imagine if you asked me, "does Fields deserve credit for his play in the Washington game?" and I said "along with everyone else with a C on their helmet" and then kept pointing out that half of his passing yards came from DJ Moore YAC

Yeah, so nothing that says specifically his bad play was everyone else’s fault. As I suspected.
