Regarding Richardson. Yes, the most tools, but also probably the most raw. Probably has a high floor a la Fields and Hurts of a year ago. His college passing data is far inferior to Fields’ so we’ll see what Richardson can do as a passer in the NFL. Not ruling him out. But I think Stroud is likely the “safest” of the top 4 this class.

I'll take the flip side. I bet he is going to need a lot of work like the rest of the OSU QBs. QB coaching at OSU is not good enough to produce NFL quality starting QBs.

That being said, I can tell you the odds are to avoid OSU QBs as they generally suck, despite their raw tools.

I think that is where you are wrong. You look at college passing stats and declare this guy as good or better than that guy. That does not  matter when you have OSU, or OK, or FLA Spurrier systems guys.

No. I look at college statss for what they are. That someone was actually a good (or bad) passer on advanced level. I don’t think great college passing automatically translates to good or great NFL passing. But it’s a check in the box.

Here’s the value I place on good passing in college. It’s a frame of reference or a starting point to being a good passer in the NFL. Guarantees nothing. But I don’t think the list of poor college passers/great NFL passers is very long.
