The value in staying is he gets paid a bunch of guaranteed cash to play college basketball, uhm, that is for his name, image, and likeness,; and a scholarship to continue his education. He will have to weigh that against whatever feedback he gets going through the pre-draft process.
It's a win / win for UI. If he goes, that frees up salary cap - er, uh, NIL money for a free agent, I mean a portal transfer.
^^^^ This, agreed, I ultimately think he comes back. He will get feedback, one thing I think will be controlling the outward "bull in a chinashop" non stop driving. That will work in the B1G most nights and he will get alot of calls/bailout fouls, it will not work in the NBA. Yes the floor is more open in the Pro's, but the players are much better overall, and they recover just as well as he penetrates.
I think he may truly want to play again, he seems to like BU, even with a scowl on his face non stop...

, and with the NIL $$$ and the education ILLINOIS alumni pipeline later in life, he comes back.
I also think there is a chance he talks Hawk in coming back as well, which he should anyway. I love Hawk has a kid/player, but he has to mature, he will find it hard sticking on a bench if he doesn't, regardless of what PRO league he goes too.
