Looking forward to regular season play. Anyone expecting Fields to come out and throw for 350/4 week one may come out disappointed. I expect the offense to continue to be a work in progress. Especially with injuries. But I do think they’ll be explosive plays and that’s something we’ve rarely said about a Bears offense.
I hope Fields comes out and looks like league MVP week one, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t (yes, I know what I did there).
I do think the offense will look better once Fields is able to improvise (yes, likely run) more. It’ll loosen things up. I’m guessing Fields running wasn’t a big part of camp and preseason.
Hopefully Fields takes a jump and gets into the MVP conversation. I’m still fairly optimistic. Not going to make too much out of a couple series behind a patchwork line in a preseason that saw him play probably 20 plays.
