I’d rather buy (very) low on a high 1st round “talent” than hope I hit the lottery in the 6th round.

He had a serious injury derail him. He was viewed as a project even when drafted. Again, if the cost is a 5th or 6th rounder then the investment is minimal. 5th and 6th rounders don’t even make the roster more than half the time.

Sounds like the Bears have inquired about trading for DT Chris Jones from the Chiefs. He’s holding out for a new contract, so we’ll see. Would be a great pick up, but a 1st is WAY too much and I’d hang up if I was Poles. Keep that 1st for next year in my opinion. Definitely don’t over pay. Not the right move currently for him in my opinion.

Yeah, don’t think I’m dealing a 1st. Would consider it if there were a 1st round swap and other considerations. Would be really nice to have a guy like that, but I’m not sure he fits the timeline. Could see a trade like this happening next year. Probably not this year.
