If Fields had been picked off on that play I’d be willing to bet you’re outlook wouldn’t be, “Oh well, we lost collectively.” What a joke.

Mooney's W-L record as a starter probably sucks.

Let me settle the debate once and for all:

It is true the Bears had little talent and weren’t going to win many games regardless.

It is also true that Fields hasn’t shown much at all as a passer to give many people hope that he’s going to flip the switch.

Now let it go and let’s see how it plays out.

It was even worse than I recalled. Must have been due to the bleeding eyes when watching that game.

Yes, because 12-7 is dramatically worse than 12-9.

The use of "dramatically" is straw. I just typed "worse." Yes, 12 - 7 is worse than 12 - 9.

Well, Fitzee will now have no qualms taking the Bear job
next year when they move on from Flus.

Yep. “Even worse.” A whole 2 points. Proof positive Eberlose can’t coach.

Which gets back to your apparent “Fitz was always clearly a bad guy” take. He was rumored to be a candidate for the Bears and Packers. I don’t think he was a super serious candidate, but he was widely thought of as a “character guy, leader of men” type. Apparently he had almost everyone fooled.

What are his NFL players saying?

Yes, it was "even worse" than I thought, but I never  claimed it was dramatically worse than 12-9. Nonetheless, I can understand why you interpreted as such.

We shall see if his culture building can extend from watching practice film on the team bus.

Yep. It was “even worse.”

I’m curious to see what he can do now that he has an actual NFL roster.

I always assumed his Bear/Packer job schtick was just to get more money and years from NU and not very serious from the Bear or Packer.

I think there are a few who saw through his bullshit all these years.

I feel uneasy with some of  the similarities I see between Underachiever and Fitzee.

I don’t think Fitz as a Packers or Bears candidate was ever likely to end with his hiring, but I don’t think it was entirely made up. He’s absolutely the kind of guy the McCaskeys would have hired.

But is he watching film?

At night,  hopefully.

Hopefully no linemen were hit in the back of the head by any throws.
