“I'm finding that there are a few people like Tempo who are really, really invested in everyone agreeing that Justin Fields is an NFL QB or going to be one.“ - ThePAMan 11/19/22
Wit this quote, you are quite literally saying he will “never be an NFL quarterback.” Yet, you “expect him to pull it together.” Which the fuck is it?
You can’t even be serious right now. Sometimes I think you’re just playing a bit. Like when I was a staunch advocate of trans athletes in women’s sports (something I clearly never said). Or that I said that “FT shooting doesn’t matter,” something else I clearly never ever ever ever ever ever said. And when I say never I mean ever ever ever ever. As in never (ever ever ever).
You HAVE to be playing a bit.
Classic strawman and Tempoing here....
1. You, like quite a few others, have a vested interest that everyone agree with you re Justin Fields.
2. Of course he can be an NFL QB or even a superstar NFL QB. I think the odds are against it. You, and others, think it has already happened or he already is a superstar.
3. He was the 11th pick in the draft. I expected him, as the 11th pick in the draft, to be better than the trash he has been passing the ball. I expected him, as the 11th pick in the draft, to be better and a serviceable NFL QB. The Bears did too, or else they would not have made him the 11th pick in said draft. Do I think he will be? Unfortunately, no. Is the expectation still there that he should be? Yes, he was the 11th pick in the draft.
4. I never used the words "staunch" or "advocate" either singularly or jointly. You typed that you "might" make an exception when it came for trans women playing women sports. As discussed, ad nauseam, the word "might" was the key word, as it meant you had not, at that time, actually "made" said exception. Which means you were for it before you were against it. At this point, given your communication and logic skills, I am skeptical you even know what you meant when you typed your post.
5. As for free shots, you ridiculed the notion that an accurate assessment of the Illini's free shot shooting could be made until Jan 16th. Well, you happened to be wrong.
