We may be witnessing Peak Tempoing.

No matter how much “Tempoing” I do, I’ll never be the misogynistic creep who posts intimate photos of my latest sexual conquests so my pretend pervy friends can tickle their stiffies.

So, we went from "Carter screwed up in a car, showed up to his pro day out of shape, I don't want him!" to "We let the Eagles get possibly the best player in the draft for nothing!"

I may be misunderstanding, but I don't think I am.

I’m about 99% certain once the Bears traded down to 9, I said I’d be “pretty open” to the idea of taking Carter there.

Agree, the worst case scenario is the Bears spend their best draft asset on a guy they don't even want to avoid getting a free draft pick to let another team pick him.

Time will tell. Whether he’s a bust, or being handed one while he’s wearing a gold jacket. Like I said, this probably says as much about Poles’ conviction on Wright as anything.

Tempo why do you like the Bears GM so much if he passes on the consensus BPA in the draft? Carter wasn’t just BPA where he was picked, but most had him as BPA of the entire draft.

When you are a team as bad as the bears, you don’t tank to get average players.  You tank to get great players, and the Bears failed last night.

They better hope their 1st rounder next year is something good or this past Bears season was a collasal waste

You know as little about football as about basketball, apparently.  Shocking.

The Bears got a #1 WR and will pick up probably 4 more starters due to the tank.

The Bears were the worst team in football all season. FACT.

They need Aaron Donald level players to turn it around. FACT.

And that’s especially true when the QB, the most important position on the team, is a bottom 10QB in the league. FACT.

You don’t get AD level players by passing on AD level talent.  The Bears had one of the worst drafts last night and that’s why Tempo is pissed.  They’d have been better off taking Levis or Carter.  Those are each potentially franchise level changing talents.

“Plugging holes” on the worst team in the NFL ain’t gonna do a damn thing.

There's always next year.

Just wait for the reaction if Young kicks ass with Carolina and that pick sucks next year.....It will seem like when John Drummond said he felt like he was on the ‘fo’c’sle of a tramp steamer after the Bear lost to the Washington football team in 1987.

They are the worst team in the NFL. They need star caliber All Pro level talent.  Not “starters” from 2nd and 3rd day picks who likely are nowhere close to All Pros

I got the impression your preference was a shooting.

"Sounds like there’s a high likelihood the Bears’ next coach will be Eberflus, Caldwell, or Leslie Frazier. Just fucking shoot me."

His take is particularly insensitive given the death yesterday (?) of the woman who caused Emmitt Till to die.

I can't remember when I last paid attention to football.

It's pretty obvious Seattle and the Bears didn't want Carter and nobody else was giving up much to draft him.

The no name tackle they drafted has some impressive numbers.

Yeah, you're probably right.  But the Bears obviously didn't want him.  It will be interesting to see how Carter turns out.  That's for sure.

Unfortunately we will never know exactly what discussions and options were on the table. If we assume the Bears were a 100% no on Carter (appears to be the case), and we assume the ONLY option was the 127th pick in next years draft (I guess we’re stuck assuming that). Ok. Good job, Bears.

Could they have flipped that pick for a Chase Young or a Mike Evans (with other compensation). I’m hoping they pursued avenues like that. We likely will never know.

Why don't you ask Hub on The Twitter? He should know what happened in the Bear Draft room.

Again. It helps your side of the argument that we can’t know what other parties may have had interest. I’d be really surprised if the Eagles were the only one. The Eagles literally got the guy who could have went off the board at #1 three months ago for a day 3 pick. Seems…low.

You appear to be saying that if there were other offers, the Bear picked the worst one.
