Again, you’re creating a strawman. I never said they were as bad as MBS. You’re misinterpreting I’m saying. They’re no better than Mickelson, Norman, Koepka, etc, or anyone else that took the payday they did to join LIV.

Yes, I misconstrued your statement. My bad. There’s still no way Rory McIlroy is as awful a person as Pat Perez.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

I’m speaking as a whole. You can cherry pick certain golfers and their character, but overall they're all accepting blood money. Just like in life in general, there are worse people than others. You can compare anybody to anybody else to make any point.

The bottom line is that McIlroy, Scheffler, Rahm, et al are professional golfers. That’s their job, and their passion. The fact that a merger (that they had no hand in creating) should mean they should just play in Japan for far less money and legacy is bullshit.

To say that guys that turned down money in the dozens of millions or even hundreds of millions in a few cases are “no different” than the guys who lapped up the money first chance they got is completely laughable.

Again, McIlroy, Scheffler, Rahm et al are the world’s best golfers. They are not political figures or statesman. I’d love it if they gave a huge finger to the Saudis and the PGA, but that is just not a realistic expectation.

So… money talks, regardless of principle. EVERYBODY can be bought. If they truly believe it’s wrong then that’s exactly what they should do is go somewhere else or find another profession. Basically they too have a price.

So if you were the best in the world at something you LOVED doing and made a great living doing it; and then basically, out of your control the Saudis invest billions into your profession are you telling me you’d stop doing what you love and worked your whole life to do out of principle? That is a very unrealistic expectation.

If you think pro athletes should be expected to play for much less in a foreign country for much less recognition out of principle, your perspective is laughable. There isn’t one Tour player who helped negotiate that deal.

What this shows is that the PGA Tour is indeed, a monopoly.

So LIV aside, it’s US Open week! My favorite tournament of the year.

Really excited to see them play at Los Angeles Country Club. The course looks fantastic, and will be a bit different from your typical US Open course. Can’t wait to see it on TV.

Jay Monahan taking a “medical leave of absence.” Sounds fishy.

Good US Open last week. Some people are panning the course because of the good scores, but if you look at the leaderboard (all great players) you can see it was a quality test of golf.

Rory blew another one. Sigh…missed a 4 footer on the front and came up 10 yards short embedded in the bunker with a wedge on on the back nine Sunday to make bogey when par should have been worst case scenario. Lost by 1. Wyndham Clark was the “least best” name on the leaderboard but he is an ascending player. Super talented guy who has just put it together the last 4 -5 months.

Koepka definitely wasn’t impressed lol

I saw his comments. Wouldn’t say they are invalid, but if a tournament has all studs at the top it’s a quality test. I’d say for him it was just a preference sort of thing. Not the traditional US Open, but I thought it was refreshing. Would probably change a couple of things if they were to host again.
