Lovie’s record was .563 with the Bears, and he took Rex Fucking Grossman to the Super Bowl. The fans got so spoiled under Lovie that he got fired for going 10-6. If Lovie Smith was white, every team with a coaching vacancy would be throwing money at him.

He’s not so good of a college coach though.

Really? Teams are falling all over themselves to hire minority candidates. He’s been picked up quickly from every firing he’s had. If we can allow ourselves to be honest, Lovie Smith being black had a pretty significant role in his being hired here. He’s a millionaire many times over. I don’t think even Lovie Smith himself would entertain such a discrimination conspiracy.
