Honest Question on UofI's Oral History Project

Hi all, 

I try not to post and mostly just view comments during games. I have several brothers so I understand the need for "guy talk" and try to avoid the cesspool. (Although some of you are funny as hell.) But I have a question for those of you who are alums.

Has anyone replied to the request from the Alumni Association's Oral History Project?  I swear I receive a yellow postcard almost weekly asking to be "Verified"

Anyone else see these and have you responded?  Trying to figure out the purpose,  They have all my information and I make an annual donation, so can't figure out why the constant push.  Anyone know if this is legit?

Oh and Custard, thanks for setting this site up.  It is (mostly) appreciated!

Haha you’re kinda welcome.

I haven’t seen anything about this, but now that I think about it I have been disconnected from UIAA since moving. Guess they didn’t get my address update. And the emails probably go to spam folder.

I'm in the same boat with these mailers etc.  Like you , they have my info except ,most likely, for my phone number.  The persistence makes me wary and unlikely to respond.  I get too many calls asking for donations already and don't need any more.

I never donate. If I ever become a zillionaire, I might change my mind. But until then, my answer is this: Nothing. Not even the fee for the gaming license, which I expect the University to put up personally.

Carry on with your regularly scheduled brutal banter.  It's (mostly) amusing and a good diversion from the pain of being an Illini fan.
