The question is why are the players brought in as bad as the ones they had  when they were allegedly tanking?

Some players have been disappointing, no small share have been hurt. I think we still had 3 starters players from the secondary missing last night. Still missing our LT and RG and QB. Had to jettison our alleged WR2. We are literally 8 games into the rebuild. You are the embodiment of the “give it to me right now! meatball”

And a lot of 1st and 2nd year players are getting signicant playing time. It takes time.

I know you’re not one for excuses but I guess you haven’t noticed that the Bears have had lots of injuries. And 60% of their players are new. That’s not to say that mistakes haven’t been made. Mistakes have been made aplenty. But judging a rebuild 8 games into it is elite Meatballism.

The O and D lines are generally accepted as being vital for winning football. The odds are trading for WRs, like Claypool and Moore, instead of fixing one line, or the other, will not produce winning football.

This is why the Bear are where they are with Poles at the helm.

He sucks. He hired the buffoon Eberlose. Also, let me know when he gets around, in the next 3 to 5 drafts and free agent signing periods, to fixing the lines, since you know, football is a game won in the trenches.

Eberflus was probably a mistake. But was he forced onto Poles? Only the Bears higher ups know for sure. It’s not out of the question.

Brian Daboll was the boy wonder last year, right? How is that going today?

Not "missing" Davis or Fields. One, great signing!, never plays and the other sucks.

Judging Flus over last year is idiocy. Yet you’ll still do it for sure. Flus was given a bottom 2 roster to coach. He was a rookie HC and his assistants were all newly elevated. It went about as one could have reasonably expected. I’ve literally never seen a football team trade their 3 best players in one calendar year. Maybe the Dolphins did it when they were “tanking for Tua?”

Other than being a loudmouth, you don’t have a point.

That you would have excuses for "Belichick told Flus he admired his culture"? (It was ridiculous when you typed that initially.) Yes, that is the point and you are making them now as we can all see. Excuses, excuses, excuses.

It’s obvious that Belichick was complimentary of Flus after the game. Belichick doesn’t make a habit of pulling coaches aside after a game, especially after being humiliated.

I’ve admitted that I was more optimistic on Flus than perhaps I should have been; but as I’ve pointed out, I don’t see the same things I saw last year. Last year we had better effort (despite the roster being gutted, maybe guys were playing for their spots), we were more disciplined , and gone are the reports of “hard practices” and there isn’t the “accountability” we were preached to about. Otherwise Velus Jones would be cut or on the practice squad.

So, Jaylon Johnson has asked for a trade. Wtf. If you're not gonna pay a young, very effective CB approaching his prime, who the fuck are you going to pay?

Could be a negotiation tactic. Pretty sure he’s said he wants to be here; as recently as a day or two ago.
