3 Point shooting and Offense

Interesting to see that of the 8 main rotation guys and the 7 who actually shoot threes - everybody is 34% or more.
We are 35.7% as a team.

This is decent and having 7 guys that you have to guard is a positive. I recall when we played Houston last year- they totally laid off of Hawkins.
Cannot do that now.

45% of our shots are threes.
Maybe more than you want as you don't draw as many fouls, but our Effective FG% is 55 which is 26th in nation.

Cut down on TO's (20% of possessions) and get a little better movement and spacing in halfcourt and we could be tough.

Agree.
We guard pretty well to stay in games. The new length and athleticism is a factor other teams have to deal with.

Good point on the free shot shooting. Was glad they were able to get to the line against Texas. Came in handy at the end.

If you get more free shot chances than the other team you can also miss more than the other team, but still score more points at the free shot line.
Plus you may put the other team in foul trouble, but maybe not.
It's a very complex issue.
