I have no clue. Maybe they have. Maybe they have not. But, for example, we discussed here, previously, that they were trying to develop products for Sub Sahara Africa that you admitted would not be profitable for corporate purposes but would be, I would think, possible game changers for the locals. There is something to be said to trying to develop something that is "good," but not profitable enough for corporations to develop, isn't there? Plus, it is a way for drunken college students to maybe learn something while getting beer money.

Farmers are not nervous because USAID isn't going to be buying their stuff? OK....

Just because they were working on something doesn’t mean it was meaningful or going anywhere. When a country is in a debt crisis, cuts are going to be felt. It’s almost like everyone thought cuts would happen and no one would notice. Now people are nitpicking little things that really don’t matter in the big picture as a way to be outraged at the cuts. Like 400 newbie employees being laid off out of 45,000, or cutting funding for a soybean lab that was trying to make a soybean to help sub Saharan Africa that may never come to fruition. Brazil and the US make plenty of soybeans, they could buy some off of us. Better yet, Nvidia should buy a few million bushels and just donate them.

The people voted for this in a free and fair election. You’ve told us many times we don’t have meaningful voter fraud. Therefore, this is democracy.

I never said there wasn’t plenty of corruption to go around. It just doesn’t usually come in the form of voter fraud.

I have a better idea. Tax the billionaires more.

Why not both? It’s not an either/or situation. I mean the wealthy already pay a huge percentage of the tax, but they’re also the best at finding loopholes, like Murph does so he can buy more spandex shorts.

Well, I guess that is true, and nobody knows that better than you when you look in the mirror

Tell me you've never had a job without telling me you've never had a job.

Older people retire. If you fire all the young people and don't grow from within, you end up with a lack of experience at some point, and no institutional knowledge of how to work within the system of that organization, when you just try to bring in a bunch of hired guns who aren't embedded in that organization.

Example: 2024-2025 Illinois Basketball

Not true. While wealthier individuals do tend - loopholes or not - pay a higher percentage of their income in taxes - there are 756 billionaires in the US and 330 million non-billionaires. Unless those billionaires are paying on average 1000x what the non billionaires are paying, your statement is false on its face.

Better yet, Nvidia should buy a few million bushels and just donate them.

Nvidia has 30,000 employees. The company matches the first 10,000 dollars of every employees charitable contribution, a benefit that is universally embraced. Let's say only 2/3s of the money gets doled out - that is still 200 million dollars from the company and 200 million from the employees.

That's a lot of bushels.

Instead of cutting air traffic controllers, national parks workers - Musk should be shuttering the post offices in every town with a population under 10,000

How is that going to help?

.Take your time Ray

From the Judge, "Indeed, one of the core questions here is whether the defendants even took the actions (or established the policies) that plaintiffs challenge.

The Judge set a March 24 deadline for discovery. Other motions may take things to May.

The seems as tho, appear to be and ifs, ands, and buts in the Propublica article may be, as the Judge says, presumptuous.
