My late father used to talk a lot about the pussification of America back in the 90s.

Didn’t really get it at the time, but I sure do now. Someone posted something about declining testosterone in here a while back, would make sense.

I'm more in favor of kinder and gentler badassness. What a Buddhist leader in Japan called soft power. Of course, his security consisted of heavily armed suits and martial arts black belts. Anyway, kindness, compassion, and tolerance do feel better than hatred, anger, and resentment.

I’ve always been pretty damn aligned with George’s way of thinking. If you think he’d be on the side of what constitutes the progressive movement in 2024, you’re sadly mistaken. 

Carlin stood up for the little guy and threw grenades at political and corporate bullshit. He celebrated practicality, common sense, direct language, and truth. He appreciated strong masculine men and strong feminine women.

He decried selfishness and hedonism, pride and boastfulness, attacks on free speech and government sponsored censorship.

Not much of that lines up with 2024 Democrat messaging.
