If you're judging a quarterback on his first 25 starts you're an idiot. And even more, if you watched last year and don't see why people are high on Fields, you weren't watching very closely.
I bet even Tempo will agree with me this time.
It didn’t “look” exactly like PAMan expects it to, therefore he “sucks.” Even if Fields never improves much as a passer, I think he’s shown he can at least be a viable starter in the NFL as long as his athleticism allows him to make plays. He was basically the best running quarterback we’ve ever seen last year. Better than even Lamar and Vick.
Made some splash plays as a passer, but obviously would like to see him be more consistent and polished through the air. Hopefully he’ll make a nice jump as a passer now that there is significantly more NFL talent around him. Wonder if Lamar would have been MVP if he’d had a bad line, rookie coaches, a WR room led by Byron Pringle, all while learning a new offense.
