BREAKING: Nikki Budzinski, a longtime labor activist, has flipped a Republican-held congressional seat in IL-13.

Budzinski was lead negotiator on Illinois' $15 minimum wage law and former national political director for
@UFCW.

The repudiation of Trumpism  meltdown on Fox News right now is great.

I avoided all TV election coverage, but that might have been worth seeing.

Looks like I should be happy I ignored the polls?!

I don't know jack shit about this, but it seems to me that there should be a different way of running polls than calling people as an "unknown caller."

I mean, who answers that shit? I don't.

We also have "spam risk" and "unknown caller" filters on our phones.  Agree, who is answering those calls?

The goal of many polls today is to get into the lazy mainstream media so that political analysts and pundits repeat the same talking points.

I’ll stick with the tea leaves.

Has anyone checked on Golf? Sure it is a mixed bag with DeSanctimonious crushing it last night.

I actually peeked at Fox, which I can't usually get through 15 seconds of. It was pretty funny. They definitely aren't news, they are just cheerleaders.

Yes, watching MSNBC, there is definitely the feel that they would prefer that Democrats win this race or that race, but when Kornacki gets up there, he's actually doing base analysis of the numbers. The token Republican is actually analyzing what went wrong for the Republicans and how the GOP might need to respond. FOX was just going about spinning how the night was actually good for the GOP

That started at 1AM CST.

Brett Baier and the ditzy blonde on Fox News were too stunned by Marc Thiessen's absolute thrashing of the Trumpers to pull any spin off.

Fox is bragging about Florida. Kelly Mckenney and Harris Faulkner were swooning over Desantis.

Yes. Hope he hangs on to defeat that loud mouth idiot. She can go back to running cheesy watering holes with a gun on her hipand shady stuff from her past.

Aged well

Glad to be mostly wrong. Even most Dems weren’t too optimistic if they were being honest. We’re still gonna lose the House.

Tempo, what specific Democratic policy benefits your personal life?

I don’t vote with only my own considerations in mind.

Rigged against crime loving idiots. Yes.

My favorite example is how the entire moderate field bowed out just before Super Tuesday to the guy running a very distant 5th after winning one state. Nothing fishy about that.

I love me some Carlin, and he’s mostly right. But I still encourage people to vote. Just try to vote better.

Depending on how this finalizes, this could be amazingly epic.

If it's within 5 votes, MTG and her crazies will be able to demand massive concessions from McCarthy if he wants to be speaker. If it really drags on, one of two things could happen...

1) McCarthy offers some form of concession to a handful of moderate democrats to push him into the speaker's seat in order to not have to deal with MTG

2) Some ambitious second tier republican brokers a deal with 212 democrats and 6 republicans to be elected speaker.

Even if McCarthy does a deal with MTG, he's going to be constantly under that group's thumb. It will be insanely epic and make the Republicans look like utter fools rolling into 2024.

Get your popcorn

You think he is going to negotiate with Dems?

I just assume we will see all sorts of nut job investigations that will annoy everyone except the OAN  base and remind everyone of the nut jobs that are the Freedom Caucus in time for 2024.
