* Bradley has not won the regular-season MVC since 1995-96. They did get to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA tournament -- 2005, I think.

Northwestern tried really hard to give back its win at Ohio State last night.

In the end, OSU decided to reject all gifts and to take the L.

I worry that the Big Ten is going to fail in a colossal way in the early rounds of the NCAA tournament.

New Mexico St. has put its season on hold. I believe the entire coaching staff is on leave. The school claims this has nothing to do with the earlier shenanigans that made Illinois' ride through the snow a few seasons ago look tame.

On an unrelated note, Va. Tech knocked off Va. earlier in the week, then proceeded to lose to pathetic Boston College. At home. Bye-bye, tournament bid.

Purdue is the only team that looks like a final 4 contender but Painter reeks of Keady

Keady 17 NCAA Tourney's only made it past 1st weekend 5 times

Painter 13 NCAA'S  made it out of 1st weekend 6 times

Other than that Indiana could be a contender but that's all up to Trayce Jackson-Davis

Illinois could lose 1st round or make it to final four

Michigan St? Nah

Not making it to the Final Four unless the draw is really lucky, with lots of upsets, and Hawkins and Mayer have the games of their lives.

Indiana can and will be a contender, unless TJD gets hurt.

Purdue has lost to some dumb teams. St. Peter's, Lehigh (?), North Texas, others I'm not recalling.

Whenever I see Jon Scheyer, I remember someone on the other board proposed a theory that if Scheyer had just come to Illinois, the Illini would have become an NCAA tournament dynasty.

Might even have been the same person who claimed the 76ers had broken the code for how to dominate the NBA.
