Welcome. I am sure you will get used to the guy who complains about people obsessing about him obsessing about someone else's Justin Fields thoughts in a basketball game thread.

I drew an analogy between your “but we weren’t perfect in a 30 point win in the first game of the year with a brand new team” and your “but how can he be playing well if he didn’t even throw for 300 yards” take. They’re both stupid. And when you said “he can’t throw…yet” it highlighted the fact you haven’t watched him the past few weeks. He’s thrown the ball very well. You deserved to be hammered for your lousy “Mitch Fields” takes. There were national analysts on the airwaves Monday saying he’s poised to be the NFLs next superstar.

"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

I swear to God, Tempo is getting dumber every day.

Says the guys who’s highjacked multiple forums and threads with his “I’m outta here” tantrums, and even died once then came back from the dead.

My question.  Is Justin Fields going to be discussed in every basketball game thread? This will be helpful info as to whether I bother participating.

I do agree in that there isn't a whole lot to be taken from early November basketball.  I honestly rarely watch it.

Out of the freshmen I like Sincere Harris the best he's long super quick and a tenacious defender.  Hit a 3 as well.  The missed dunk was pretty funny and I'm sure that will be a hoot at the film session

Clark looked a bit nervous and didn't show much to me, his defense was bad and a lot of stupid passing turnovers and ball control issues

Epps looks like he can ball, like one of those stocky short good handling guards that Purdue always seems to have

Rodgers looks like one of those tweener forwards that can cause a lot of problems for other teams, he just needs to adjust to the game speed and practice his free throws as he's going to get a lot of opportunities from there

Dainja definitely showed some things in the second half.  Hard to tell with big men going against inferior competition but he grabbed many more rebounds than I thought he had.

Overall a very very promising looking class after just one game against a pretty crap opponent

No, just the ones where PAMan acts like the “but he can’t throw from the pocket” or the “what about the defense?” caller to AM radio shows the day after Justin Fields does something no other quarterback has ever done.

I’ll try to make this my last JF comment in this thread, but it’s only crazier when PAMan is doubling down on his Fields takes when the last couple game threads here have been overflowing with Fields excitement. “But he didn’t even throw for 300 yards against Dallas in a 20 point loss?!”

If someone isn’t excited about Justin Fields after the last 5 games, just go be a Packers fan already.

In short, PAMan has become the old man yelling at clouds.

So we should not be concerned with FTs and team defense. Ok.

On opening night? Prolly not.

Yeah; not gonna get worked up about FT shooting in a 30 point win in early November. A zillion other things to worry about.

Justin Fields is one of them, apparently.

Well, I recall standing in The Bellagio knowing the Illini would blow the game as I was watching Weber's team brick FT after FT against Va Tech because the guys could not shoot FT all year.
