Had youth sports today and couldn’t watch but was able to stream WDWS on my phone and listen on my AirPods. Can’t wait to catch a replay of the game. Fuck yeah, we are back baby!

The atmosphere and crowd at Memorial Stadium was amazing today! Great program building win. Bielema gets it and addressed the crowd afterwards. He could build something really special here.

Chase Brown had more rushes than Minnesota ran plays.

Sixth year senior Tanner Morgan was 4-12 for 21 yards and a pick.

Illinois had possession for 68% of the game.

Illinois outgained Minny 472 to 180.

A walk on kicker from Air Force (where he did not kick) is 7 for 7 on FGs since Griffin went down.

Perfect on 4th down (4-4) again this week.

Really just a beautiful game execution-wise all around. Bielema has grown on me a lot and he obviously hired ridiculously well on the assistant front.

To be fair we went against two of the best defenses in the country the last two weeks and DeVito was out for most of  last week. Minnesota hadn’t allowed more than 20 points in 8 straight games. But yeah we are only converting a TD about 40% of the time on the season which isn’t ideal. A lot of times because it seems like they try and get cute with passes when they should keep pounding the ball on the ground which got them there in the first place.
