I’ve kept my mouth shut over some pretty awful shit for a few weeks because I’m never going to change someone’s mind on this shit, but come on. It’s just never-ending this shit.

Good steps with the kiddo Tempo. Don’t throw too much at him at once. Go out and play with him and get him into a habit while the weather is still nice. Seriously invest in a wiffle ball set for $8 and make up a two person game. Take a walk to a creek and explore.

When I was a kid we’d throw a fit when we had to come inside at night. Maybe it’s different for other parents but I’ve noticed my kids (granted they’re young and I know it won’t last forever) typically mirror what I’m doing.

Sometimes they tell me they’re bored. So one night we made a list of all the things they enjoy doing at home and we put it on the fridge. Now when they say they’re bored I point to the list and tell them to pick something off the list to do. Problem solved.

Since I can’t recall anything with specificity, I’ll retract what I said about ChickenGeorge; although I think there’s some inherent racism in using the derogatory nickname of a slave born of white owner/black slave rape to refer to yourself. Might not be racism, just poor judgment.
