Never been. I guess I always thought that was kind of an adults only thing. Biggest problem I had with the pride parade encounter was the juxtaposition of the kids and all the blatantly sexual stuff going on right around them.

BidenBot74 may have read on HuffPost that these events are full of clean-cut queer folk just having a good time, but in reality it was mostly overweight people in skimpy, too-tight clothes trying wayyyy too hard to get laid.

Maybe you should blame the parents. Would think at this point it is well known that these parades are Mardi Gras-ish. They have only been doing them for decades at this point.

Oh I’m for sure blaming the parents, it’s kinda like some of these idiots thought it was going to be a 4th of July parade or something. But, even worse, I’m sure there are others that just want to be there and have to bring their kids, or think it would be good for their kids to be exposed to this kind of thing. Wokesters and such. I can live with the unsolicited touching and getting yelled at for crossing the street to get to the restaurant, but kids shouldn’t have been there.

Might as well stick this here.

Illinois has a subsidized, free to low cost rural bus service called the Show Bus. The subsidies come from a mix of public and private grants.

Given the culture of rural areas; it's very much a niche market, but it does fill a limited need.

The biggest problem they have, right now, is finding drivers. Most of the current ones have been there for years. The typical driver is a white male, age 70+, already collecting retirement checks, just driving a bus for pocket change and something to do.

 It's hard to find young people who are interested, can pass a background check, and will show up.
