Something tells me that if Justin Fields plays here for 5 years and only has one (barely) 3,000 yard passing season that won’t be nearly enough.

Looking at Fields vs Lamar in passing this year and their numbers are almost identical. And I mean identical.

Both threw for 2242 yards with 17 touchdowns. Fields attempted 8 less passes. Give Lamar the max! Amirite, PAMan?!

I just said I would not give him the money. He is damaged goods at the point (probably due in part to the pounding he has taken from all the running(.

Haha what? Mark Andrews is a complete stud. Top 2-3 receiving TE in the league. Hollywood Brown would be the Bears’ #1. Lamar has been in the same system for 5 years. Top 5 head coach. One of the best offensive lines in football the last 4-5 years. Lamar has literally every built-in advantage over Fields.

Lamar also has one post-season win. Aren’t you the “all the matters is the tourney!” guy?

He’s missed a handful of games. I don’t know that he’s damaged goods. But I do know that he’s regressed as a passer. And he’s only got one playoff win. And he quit on the team when they needed him.

And he was always more promise than production as a passer. Had a nice TD total his MVP year. Also had a great team around him. And I’ve always loved his game. But he has not improved as a passer, and I was very unimpressed with him the times I watched him the last couple seasons.
