What supporting cast (they have not been good this year and were ok last year) and what reps was he getting when he was 3rd on the depth chart? For all we know, this could be Brady taking over for an injured Bledsoe and never giving the job back.Was Mac Jones racking up these numbers when he was in there? Don't think he was. This guy apparently is flinging the ball all around while Fields is still figuring out progressions (after 14, whatever, starts).

The right answer here, though, probably, is systems as we have seen some Pat's backups get rich and then flail.

A top 5 offensive line, a HOF (GOAT) coach, and legitimate NFL players around him. And it’s one game. I’d be willing to bet Fields’ career is better than Bailey’s.

Zappe can throw. We knew that already. He’s probably a perfect fit for what they need in a backup. Gonna bet he can’t carry a team, like Justin Fields is being asked to do.
