Next year it gets a CFP game.

Extremely fringy, but I’ll accept it. If you have basically a midmajor play a traditional power in the Fiesta bowl in a wild one, people might still talk about it for a while. Congrats. All Bowl Games Matter.

As an example of how bowl games are no longer very important…I didn’t know the Rose Bowl got moved to Jan 2, and it’s featuring 2 and 3 loss teams. The third best team in the B1G is in the Rose Bowl…bowl games just aren’t that important anymore.

Granted, I’m not a big college football fan anymore. But I’d always at least know what the Rose Bowl had going on. I had zero clue it was on or who was in it until 5 minutes ago.

The Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential does not get played on Jan 1 when Jan 1 falls on a Sunday.

I thought it was when is it and who's playing.
The NFL pretty much eliminates Sunday games and the top 2 BIG10 teams played Sat. That leaves PSU vs the Pac12 champ.
