Fishwrap says this is the last of the Big10 vs Pac12 traditional Rose Bowls.
Next year it gets a CFP game.
RIP., Granddaddy.

Tulane scores with 9 seconds left to get the win with the pat. The game matters to Tulane.

As it should. Will people remember the Tulane team 5 years from now? Only the players and the most die hard Tulane fans in existence. All 7 of em.

Might be memorable to people who bet on USC....

I can only imagine what USC's win probability was in this Tulane game. Fake stat!

What a stat.
I am a former 5-star general. Or maybe it was 4-star.
Nichi claims a guard with a 1.3 assist-to-TO ratio is a good passer.

People still talk about Boise State beating Oklahoma from 2007. Yes, people will remember this game

"Multiple sources close to Jim Harbaugh told The Athletic on Monday they expect he will leave Michigan for the NFL if a franchise offers him a coaching job."

Lol.

Extremely fringy, but I’ll accept it. If you have basically a midmajor play a traditional power in the Fiesta bowl in a wild one, people might still talk about it for a while. Congrats. All Bowl Games Matter.

That was also before the playoffs were a thing.

Looks like Purdue played well today.

As an example of how bowl games are no longer very important…I didn’t know the Rose Bowl got moved to Jan 2, and it’s featuring 2 and 3 loss teams. The third best team in the B1G is in the Rose Bowl…bowl games just aren’t that important anymore.

Granted, I’m not a big college football fan anymore. But I’d always at least know what the Rose Bowl had going on. I had zero clue it was on or who was in it until 5 minutes ago.

Were you expecting an email from the Big10 offices, or something sent on the Twitter ?

No, just some of the publicity that used to go to big bowl games that now goes to the playoffs.

The Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential does not get played on Jan 1 when Jan 1 falls on a Sunday.

I thought it was when is it and who's playing.
The NFL pretty much eliminates Sunday games and the top 2 BIG10 teams played Sat. That leaves PSU vs the Pac12 champ.
