Alabama and Clemson getting beaten in the same day warms my cockles. Even if ND and Brian Kelly (who I hate equally as much as Alabama and Clemson) were the benefactors. Now none of them are going to the playoffs.

"The Big Ten worker confirmed he was sending a letter to the Big Ten, and he obviously did. Bacon put the account in print here: Justice Delayed — For All Involved. In bullet form, he noted:

“Constant complaining to the officials. During the second quarter the line judge comments to me that ‘this is not what I signed up for.’
“There was an unprecedented amount of trash talk. J.J. McCarthy was running the ball and I heard a MSU staff member yell ‘break his *#$%*ing arm.’ The MSU sideline was still using over the top vulgarity even when there was only one minute left in the game.
“Usually after the clock hits 0.00 the referees sprint off the field. This game they stayed to break players up on the field. While leaving the field the head referee was confronted by an MSU staff member. The staff member then calls the referee ‘a bitch *** mother #$***’ I have never seen anything like that.
“Mel Tucker spent the entire game arguing with the officials. He looked very agitated and never accepted the official’s explanation.”
The witness concludes by saying, “I will say it was the most toxic and hate filled sideline I have ever been a part of and it starts with the head coach. The staff and players follow his lead.”

It exposes the stupidity of the rankings, particularly for the SEC teams. At one point, Ky. was ranked 7th. 7th!

TAMU -- now a 7-loss team -- was ranked 6th in the preseason. This stuff is utter bullshit.

To be fair, Wake Forest was ranked 10th at one point. The Illini haven't exactly covered themselves in glory the last two weeks, either.

These rankings are still really dumb. Not seeing the rationale for LSU at 6th. Clemson is 9th, with only a loss to ND. ND is ranked 18th. Fla. St., which beat LSU, is 19th.

If we are going to play B.S. games like the timing of the loss matters, the margin of the loss matters, etc., then SEC teams shouldn't get to play teams like UAB and Furman in mid-November.

Also, if USC keeps winning and doesn't move up from 7th, there needs to be an all-out investigation.

I agree.  LSU should be behind USC.  TCU should be ahead of both BIG teams as they've won more games against ranked teams than those 2 combined.  Shaping up be to a year when 4 conference champs make the cut.
