If the train was unable to break, I’d think the total number of cars would count quite importantly.

Except we were talking about the Obama reg that Trump rolled back. This train would not have been impacted by that reg because it did not have enough cars filled with toxic stuff.

Today's fishwrap AP story didn't include Homendy's stupid-ass comment about all accidents are preventable and if people would just listen to them there would be no accidents.
The AP article also didn't include Buttigieg's comment when he was babbling on that 'I lost my train of thought' when talking about a train derailment that ended up with a mushroom cloud over the residents of East Palestine.

"The NTSB report, which laid out the facts that investigators have gathered to date, said crew members had no indication the train was in trouble until an alarm sounded just before it went off the tracks."

It's trendy to say there are no accidents. Spend enough time and money on due diligence / preventive maintenance, incidents can be avoided in theory.

In New York, potential defendants have the right to answer questions in the grand jury before they are indicted, but they rarely testify, and Mr. Trump is likely to decline the offer. His lawyers could also meet privately with the prosecutors in hopes of fending off criminal charges.
