I had to look up Jennifer Welch..I bet she meant firing pistols figuratively.

the personal attacks reflect the current political and social  climate. the President helps set that tone.

I don't know why you would compare that with with the posturing / gamemanship between between Trump and Putin.

Pretty shocking that Trump would work to get the release of an American whose crime was fighting for Ukraine. Guy was basically a traitor to the US
