"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Again, when you wish to play dumb, you’re very very good at it.

It is obvious you are not playing dumb.

If he wanted to cozy up to Trump there was an avenue to do so. Which is lost on you and the other people who think they can dictate to someone how ro run their business and spend their money  He chose to cut his losses, and the sports section, over that route, it appears. Seens like a dumb move to me, but I don't subscribe to the paper anyways.

“He’s just trying to keep the post solvent ya’ll! Why are you so dumb?!”

Former Post employees, including veteran White House journalist Peter Baker, condemned the decision, with Baker writing on X, “No struggling newspaper ever saved itself by becoming a worse and less essential product. But what’s happening today at the @washingtonpost is not just the latest devastating contraction of the news industry; it’s the gutting of an American institution vital for a healthy society.”

The paper’s former owner, Don Graham, whose family owned the paper for eight decades, also spoke out about the decision, offering to help axed employees however he could.

More bad news for PAMan’s phony narrative.

Yes, Trump hates the WaPo sports department! Great way to curry favor with Trunp!

Maybe he is going to eventually replace the fired people with NY Poat types? We shall see.

He can now start his own newspaper.

Vital for a healthy society? How can that be when we have The Twotter?

If he cared so much, why did he sell?

Bezos could have saved wapos sports and local journalists. He laid them off instead.

I'm sure they all appreciate your interest in a newspaper you never subscribed to, Tempo.

I used to subscribe to it. Not super recently, but when I lived in the city.

You’re so clearly a corporate lawyer.

He didn't have to sell. He could have funded the losses since he's rich too

He did it because he could. Same reason billionaires rape kids and get away with it.
