Are you really this dumb? Or do you just play this dumb on the Internet?
I was just asking for what the lie is.

The 2nd time he did add in the word “wrongdoing,” but “absolute immunity” would seem to contradict that. Absolute immunity is not meant for law officers.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

I was just asking for what the lie is.

The first lie was saying an ICE officer has “absolute immunity.” The 2nd lie was him trying to worm his way out of saying he didn’t say it.

Oh, so it's now 2 lies.

I think his 2nd statement was directed at the TDS crowd to inform them that the standard hasn't been changed. It's the same as it's been.

Ross is a federal law enforcement officer and was engaged in lawful federal enforcement activities and is therefore covered by immunity.

The standard is "lawful" activities. Unlawful activities would not provide immunity next week, last week, the week before that, the week before that or the week before that.

The border agents who were said to have whipped the migrants were engaged in lawful enforcement activities and yet were suspended. They never whipped the migrants but it made a good story for the media and members of the who knows who was in charge last administration.

Do you see how this works ?

President Joe Biden said Border Patrol agents who whipped at Haitian migrants with horse reins as they attempted to cross the Rio Grande in Del Rio, Texas this week will face punishment for their "outrageous" actions.

"I promise you those people will pay," Biden said of the agents during a White House press conference on Friday morning. "There will be consequences ... It's dangerous, it's wrong. It sends the wrong message around the world, it sends the wrong message at home. It's simply not who we are."

Pure fuckstickerry. A jury decides what is lawful and unlawful fuckstick.

Translation:
1. The Vice President, at least this Vice President, may not offer an opinion.

2. The Vice President of the prior administration may offer her opinion.

3. The mayor of a city may offer his opinion.

Absolute immunity isn’t an “opinion.”

Absolute immunity isn’t an “opinion.”
It's actually referred to as qualified immunity and Vance was stating his opinion that in the Ross situation that Ross, a federal law enforcement agent, acted lawfully in a lawful federal law enforcement activity.

The mayor disagreed, "They are already trying to spin this as an act of self-defense. Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly – that is bullshit," Frey said. "This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody getting killed."

You're free to agree with Frey's statement but in no way was Vance telling bald-faced lies.

I thought that when the investigation was completed there was no proof of whipping
