Of course the oil was hugely important, but the fact that Venezuela was an ally of Iran made it a pretty easy sell IMO. Maybe Trump does it regardless.

Apparently Venezuela’s leadership has said thanks, but no thanks to Trump’s “offer” to run their country. This should be interesting. Glad to see Trump had a plan…
