And instead of the judge resolving the issue inside the courthouse rather than in his vehicle outside of the courthouse he tried to drive off with the kid.

I think you are assuming ICE approached the Intern prior to the traffic stop?
The Judge didn't "drive off" with the intern. iCE had been illegally taken photos of the intern inside the courthouse. Security made them stop..
It appears the intern didn't feel safe walking to school. So the judge gave him a ride. He didn't drive off. ICE assaulted the vehicle.
Courthouse security intervened to resolve the situation.
Why anyone would trust ICE's version of events defies logic.
