The LAPD Chief said they needed help doesn't help the mayor or the governor's excuses.

A curfew was necessary because the mayor didn't do her job initially.

The protestors don't go home at dusk.

There was no violence, no need for help, no need for curfew until ICE and Trump provoked violence.

The police chief only hedged after violence broke out. ICE initiated the violence by firing rubber bullets and teargas st peaceful.protestors. That gave the anarchists an opening.

Trump now says anyone that protests his militant parade will be met with force.

Protestors should go home at dusk. They accomplish nothing after dark.

It was obvious as soon as Trump sent in the guard this would turn into campaign commercials for the right wing. The protestors and mainstream media played right into Trump's hands.  They don't know how to win over the people that believe Trump's lies.

Also, as long as they are properly enforcing the laws in place (including providing people the ability to contest deportation BEFORE shipping them off), what is there to do? The Dem, including AOC and The Squad, had their chances to rewrite the immigration laws and didn't do it.

What do you want done, Tempo? I am guessing the answer is to stop the enforcement of the laws? Granted, enforcement has been very lax to virtually non-existent across many administrations. I get you, and quite a few others, are pissed because it no longer is. What are you calling for to be done or not done?

That's not an answer.

The Dems have had the chance to rewrite the laws since Clinton and didn't do it, regardless of WWJD.  They chose "prosecutorial discretion" when deciding what laws to enforce. Well, Trump, for better or for worse, has made a different choice. What do you want done other than making sure they are properly applying the law, as written and as interpreted by the Court? Jesus has zilch to do with it.

Stop evading. What do you want done? If it is "change the laws because Jesus," you are going to be disappointed.

I understand that there is not much that can be done right now other than hoping the appropriate parties are making sure the Feds are properly applying the laws, which has not been easy task. For worse, the fact is there is not another election that will deal with this until 2028.
