No law enforcement should be allowed to obscure their faces or badges in public.   Unfortunately we normalized a militarized police after 9/11 - bunch of cops LARPing as the soldiers they used to be - or never were.

The explanation was that they could be involved in undercover operations and don't want to jeopardize their covers being blown. Ehhh, ok. Hopefully badges and name tags are showing.

I'm not arguing that they should be denied due process. I am arguing that if they are not here legally, they should be picked up and the process started. I agree that they should get their day in court.

As we are seeing, the rules apply to even those who have been acting like upstanding citizens. Yes the game has changed to strictly apply the law. That is what more people voted for, whether they knew it or not.
