We’re entering the port of finding out:
- Consumer confidence tumbling
- Stock market swings
- Retirement accounts kicked in the teeth
- Growing worries about a recession
- Shipping volumes plunge/port slowdowns
- Shrinking business inventories
- Home construction/rennovation costs rising
- People starting to stockpile in anticipation of rising prices and empty shelves
- U.S. economy contracts in first quarter/blame it on Biden
- No tariff negotiations with China.  Other countries like Japan say that Trump
  trade demands are constantly changing   

This is what happens when you elect a toddler to do an adult’s job.

Trump's trade policies contributed the first time. Plus the Saudi vs Russia price war. Meanwhile, American oil companies had ramped up production in anticipation of of high summer demand. Oil prices were absurdly low. 4 years later Trump had the gall to take credit for the resultant low pump prices.

Deja Vous all over again? We don't have a Covid, knock on wood,  and US oil companies are rolling back production.

We do have Trump's erratic trade policies distorting supply chains and potentially softening long term demand. Plus an internal OPEC+ price war.

If Trump had spent the past three months focused like a laser on the actually legitimate grievances with Chinese trade, instead of coming out of the gate swinging at everyone, I don't think Canada would be going along with this.

We're going to find out that many countries will reorganize their trading patterns around us because we can no longer be trusted.
