U.S. taxpayers will provide room and board for 11 years before he will be able to be deported.

Better he is in jail than set free in his homeland where he can sneak back in.

I've thought the same. Before today.
Nonetheless, informants aren't allowed to traffic.

Maybe they were road tripping to a Volunteers game.

Maybe they were road tripping to a Volunteers game.
If they were any kind of self-respecting football fans they would have had coolers with them but football season was over.
If they were heading to the Vols 76-40 hoops win over McNeese State, from Texas  ;D , they were 3-5 days late.
Maybe they were headed to Chicago for a Bulls game and got lost. Abrego Garcia is a big Bulls fan, ya know.

Haven't heard anything new on this. Perhaps they've been pardoned? I'm being facetious, but Jan 6.

"Federal and local law enforcement have arrested 42 members and associates of the SFV Peckerwoods, a San Fernando Valley-based white supremacist street gang,
...

law enforcement seized large quantities of illegal firearms, and dozens of pounds of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and heroin, according to the indictment.

“The Peckerwoods’ violent white-supremacist ideology and wide-ranging criminal activity pose a grave menace to our community,” said United States Attorney Martin Estrada. “By allegedly engaging in everything from drug-trafficking to firearms offenses to identity theft to COVID fraud, and through their alliance with a neo-Nazi prison gang, the Peckerwoods are a destructive force."

Of course not. We didn’t get invaded for the past 4 years by millions and millions of white Northern European fake asylum seekers; instead they came from Spanish speaking countries where most people have brown skin. With that horde some pretty bad people came in, and we are trying to get them out of here. Some mistakes will happen along the way. I feel bad the guy spent a day in jail, but plenty of white people have spent their whole lives in jail for crimes they didn’t even commit. He’ll be ok.

Once you start saying "oops, mistake" instead of worrying about Due Process, anyone can get fucked over.

Riley Gaines husband is getting shipped out of the country, and MAGA is all aghast. Oh - but Riley - "it's a mistake! You'll be OK!"

I wonder who the 8 people with Abrego Garcia were/are when Abrego Garcia was stopped for speeding in Tn. He said he had been driving for 3 days and had 8 people with him and no luggage. All said their address was that of Abrego Garcia.
Tn Highway Patrol, suspecting trafficking, contacted the Biden era FBI.
All 9 were sent on their way to Maryland, at the direction of the FBI, to complete their trip from Tx.

"Kilmar worked in construction and sometimes transported groups of workers between job sites, so it's entirely plausible he would have been pulled over while driving with others in the vehicle," Ms [Jennifer]  Vasquez Sura said about the incident. -- published sources

that was my thought. He could have been 'trafficking' them to a job.

If you’re trying to convince me that we need to follow “due process” for everyone that came in the last 4+ years, it’s a waste of your time. I have zero qualms with expediting the removal of criminals who entered our country illegally rather than having the immigration system take years and years to decide what should be done with them. I trust that there is enough accountability in the system to undo any mistakes that will take place in the process. This dude that got held for a day then released just isn’t the gotcha moment you think it is.

'I went to go pick up my co-workers in Texas. They must have thought it was a 1 day job and a quick trip back to Texas because they didn't bring anything with them.'
She also filed 2 requests for protective orders but, when asked, doesn't seem to want to talk about those.

Ms Vasquez Sura said in a statement on 16 April that she had decided not to follow through with the court process at the time and that she and her husband "were able to work through this situation privately as a family, including by going to counseling".

She described her husband as "a loving partner and father" and has repeatedly denied he is an MS-13 gang member.

I don't have a problem with expedited removal since Trump overwhelmed the immigration courts with zero tolerance.

Just make them all civil removals to their home country or a third country that will accept them.

If we are paying s third country to hold them in a dangerous prison; then there better be meticulous due process.

A few with Hispanic sounding surnames.

There are lots of  white people in Mexico with Hispanic names. The Peckerwoods also work with a Mexican gang.
