Once again, privilege and prosperity aren’t the same thing. If you moved into a wealthy overwhelmingly white community, no one would bat an eye. If a black family moved in, it would probably cause a stir. That’s one way in which you are privileged.
Nah. If Pekin white trash, for example, moves into an overwhelmingly wealthy white community, they would be identified immediately for what they are. I would argue a black family would be more accepted in that situation because if a black family can actually afford that house, they must be decent.
This is weird. I came from pure dirt, and worked my ass off to get where I am. I can promise you I didn't lean on any kind of privilege to get here.
