Watergate? What was the point? Nixon had that election in the bag.

Deplorables ranks up there.

I’m talking for the nation. Not personally.

Especially since they had nothing to do with it.

You're cheating... that wasn't in the 20th Century.

"FDR removing Wallace from the Democratic ticket in 1944 may have been the biggest political blunder of the 20th Century. Unless you count electing Reagan."

The blunder to me was not just running Biden. If we're talking Hillary, not spending the entire campaign in the Rust Belt.
A review of the playbook for Al Gore could reveal he should have won that one easily - depending on how you count centuries that might have actually been the 20th Century.

As to Tempo saying "Blunders for the Nation" - to me Vietnam wins in a landslide.

Multitasking. Holding a smart phone in one hand, a stylus in the other, reading, thinking, writing, correcting autocorrect, ignoring wife talking to me, drinking coffee, all at once.

Did we ever get proper revenge on Canada for their role in the War of 1812? Should we bomb Toronto and Montreal?

The oddball part of this is, that while it's very important strategically for Ukraine to remain sovereign, who the fuck cares if the Soviets take Afghanistan? It would probably have been a huge drain on their resources to control Afghanistan, it's a backwater with no real natural wealth other than opium poppies. Then a few years later it would have become a sovereign nation again.
Putting any resources into stopping the Russians there was a net negative. Unless you're an arms dealer.

Except it did drain the Soviets. The problem is the Taliban eventually took over after the Soviets were chased out and we did not care. Until we did.
