Any chance he's regretting his VP pick?  Talk about being arrogant!  If he'd picked Haley, it's a different discussion and dynamic now.

This is where he's gonna get just obliterated in the debate, Harris will have all the reciepts. Preferably she'll take some of his greatest hits and beat him to the punch - "The Biden/Harris administration, in 2022, passed the laws that did X/Y/Z" and see if Trump tries to rewrite history in front of the public in that forum

Harris is not a strong orator or thinker. Might do well with the scripted stuff but not sure how she’ll do off the cuff or if she gets flustered. Not sure how many votes will hinge on any future debates regardless unless one of the two just absolutely  faceplants.

Biden had a base?

2020 was 100% that just enough people were scared shitless of Trump round 2 that they voted against him. Top of the scared shitless list were Democratic power brokers who pushed for Biden with endorsements and scripted or not, some timely drop outs and timely non-dropouts, because they felt the best chance against crazy Donald was milquetoast Joe.

I think current events are showing that to be a mediocre strategy. The fact it works really shines a light on how weak Trump is.
