It’s hard to win games when you can’t shoot 3s and have no interior defense.

Do you even watch the games? Kofi sucked ass on defense against any team with a guy who could make a 15 foot jump shot off a PnR. Teams killed us for three years with his clumsy drop coverage.
He will be lucky to ever see the floor in the NBA because he can’t guard anyone.

We shot the three for shit about the last 15 games of the year.

Had no other way to score except Kofi from two feet and hope Plummer had a good night.

Your boyfriend Grandison was terrible after Xmas. And he was total liability on defense.

Your best bet is to stick to computer games in mommy’s basement.

Hey Dumbfuknic....Duke lost Baker, got Grandison....so they gave up as good a shooter, the same defender, and someone already in the program, for a good shooter, same bad defender and someone new to the program.

Illini, got 6'9 to 6'6, arguably a better shooter or at least the same, better rebounder/passer/athletic more gifted and comes from proven Champion program, yes ILLINI got the worst of this deal clearly.... !!!!!!

Mayer and Grandison are nowhere close to the same level of shooter.

Grandison shot 40% from 3 and 80+% on FTs

Mayer shot 32% from 3, 70% on FTs.

Really?  Let’s look at defense efficiency during the Underwood era.

2017-18 (No Kofi): 1.017 (177th)
2018-19 (No Kofi): 1.023 (203rd)
2019-20 (Kofi): 0.947 (86th)
2020-21 (Kofi): 0.936 (43rd)
2021-22 (Kofi): 0.961 (85th)

The big fella was the difference in defense.  You limit layups at the rim (which Kofi did) and limit offensive rebounds (which Kofi did) that goes a long way to improving the defense

You don't even watch the team or the games. Our defense improved because Underwood ditched the SFA gimmick defense in 19/20 that never worked at high D1. It was totally awful at OKSt (155th in country) and awful here until he stopped.

Kofi got abused by everyone on drop coverage on PnR. The list of guards who had career games on us was a joke.
He could not switch and guard in space, is not a quick jumper or shot blocker. He did take up space and rebound.

Absolutely no transfer news leaks. No buzz at all. People who thought Butz was a lock are backing off.  Underwood and the current staff seem to be fairly tight lipped when a commitment is imminent.
