Teams left ranked who I want to win it all. From most to least…

1. St. Peter’s
2. Villanova
3. Arkansas
4. Iowa State here if they win tonight. If they lose, then…

4-8. Fuck the rest.
I didn’t know that. Thanks!

Iowa State lost two of their last three coming into the tourney by an average of 25. One of them was to a non-tourney team.

Like, fuck them.

But really, fuck Wisconsin for having good metrics but not being actually good at basketball and predictably sucking in the tourney. You lose on your home court to fucking Nebraska with an outright B1G title on the line and still get a 3 seed? Fuck you.

Then these fucks flame out to a team that won two fucking games last year and added a bunch of just dudes.

And fuck Purdue who can’t guard a fucking shadow unless they’re playing Illinois. They looked like a team that had just played four games in four days.

And fuck Illinois who couldn’t hang with a team that lost 5 starters from last season. Once again quickness and athleticism rules the day.

Goddamned Rutgers finished fourth in this league and pretty much sucked ass any time they weren’t at home.

The B1G is soooo far behind the curve of NCAA tournament basketball it’s pathetic. Obviously matchups are supremely important. Some programs are newly healthy and others newly (or continuously) banged up.

But watching these last two tournaments most of the B1G teams don’t even belong on the floor athletically with the rest of the field that makes it to the second weekend. Gonzaga is in the same boat more often than not but they get gifted a protected seed every year.

Also, fuck Duke and UNC.

I mean yeah fuck Gunther for a lot of reasons but there wasn’t anything he could do to keep Self. His hatred of the facilities arms race, however, is unforgivable.

Underwood has a top shelf staff and has things going in the right direction.

Recruiting looks to actually be creating a deeper pool of decent players.

Agree.
I would also add that the coaching chops on a lot of these teams appears to be better.

I mean yeah fuck Gunther for a lot of reasons but there wasn’t anything he could do to keep Self.

Not sure that is true. $$$$, the ability to get kids in school using the NCAA metrics, facilities? Isn't the story that he went to Guenther for a raise and Guenther told him to pound salt?

Hopefully he can get a game plan to beat Purdue and get to the E8 like St. Peter's. But first he needs to actually get to the S16 and stop stroking his own cock by telling us every chance he gets how great the B1G is.

Not the first year that the non con has led everyone to misunderstand conference strengths. KenPom isn't perfect but had Wosconsin and Rutgers both way lower than the committee which should be a red flag.
