I would say Weber did fine at KSU. He won them 2 B12 championships and took them to an EE. That’s more than any other HOF coach that’s been there.

It’s just few and far between and his lows were really low.

Yep. He was “fine.” Till he left before being fired for not being quite fine enough.

I’m just trying to figure out what Jobu means by “fine,” and what he’s basing that on after 9 less than fine seasons out of 10 in South Carolina. Not looking to argue or “fight.” I just want to know what “fine” means. Is fine “pretty good?” Or is it Bruce Weber?

So to break this down as simply as I can for you (because apparently I need to)…

What constitutes “fine?” Would he still have a job there (unlike Weber)? Would he be slightly better than Weber?

And…what’s your reasoning for this based on his really poor record (outside of one season) at USC? If you say “I don’t know, just a gut feeling.” That’s okay, or in this case, “fine.” Just wondering.

The world pretty much passed Frank Martin by in the last decade and he didn’t really seem motivated to do anything to adjust accordingly. It’s almost like the F4 run and a fat contract led to some complacency. He hasn’t been the same guy since.

Looking up his record, they went 25-9 in 2016 without making the tourney. Their SOS must have been absolutely laughable not to make the tourney after going 24-8 and 11-7 in conference before the NIT.
