Oh, and of course instant karma just hit for me being a message board jackass, as ThePassiveWoman's phone just went blank, but you can hear all the sounds of emails and texts and calls. So now she wants me to drop everything and go buy everyone new phones. Mine still works fine, despite being over 5 years old (and being completely paid off), but that is not going to work with her like it does with the kids (Maybe actually use your Otter Box phone cover next time, doofus?). Those reduced cell phone bills were really nice while they lasted.

Maybe I will go to 7-11 and buy their lousy phone packages for them....

You can get some great Androids on Amazon for under $200 apiece.

As for your monthlies, I finally bought a service after holding out for 25 years. I always said I'd wait 'til the price dropped under $10/month. I now get a gig of data for $6/month. They throw in a number and texts, as well.

I got Mint for Heather. $15 gets 4GB/month plus unlimited calls and texts.

If you're a family of four, I can't believe there isn't something for $100 or less that would give you more than enough, although you'd probably need to scold your children for streaming 4K movies while sleeping.
