The timing of the 1966 slush fund scandal did irreversible damage on top of the self inflicted intetnal damage before and after. Boomers were coming of age, basketball was increasing in popularity, and we had a loaded roster.

Classic Nichi.

If anyone wonders why I don’t come here, look no further.

This place has become a group of nominal adults egging eachother on to act like middle school kids high fiving each other when they call someone a fag.  It’s gross as hell.

Sure Karen.

I do hope DeSantis gets elected in 2024 and all you liberal censoring crybabies  can go back into your closets, bubbles, emotional safe spaces.

Imagine getting offended on a sports board.

A joke.  I don’t agree with Custard Fart on his sports takes but him just allowing anyone to post whatever they want is a welcome and refreshing change from the world you want to create spark.

Looks like you are outnumbered here spark.  This place is about freedom.

Well obviously - the freedom to be a dipshit.  Which is why unlike every other Illini board, you’re allowed here.

Congrats to the others for being on Truth’s team.  Seems fitting to be honest.

There is a lot going on here.  I will say only this:

Let's enjoy the ride here, and see what happens.  And, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter who is right or wrong.  I hope we all want the same thing.

< Miller/Ayo could drive to the basket last year or get to the line.  Grandison, Plummer, Trent, Damonte are all just spot up 3 pt shooters

wtf are you talking about?

Plummer and Trent are both better at driving to the hoop than Miller.

A healthy Curbelo is better at it than any of them.

Oh, I got a hunch you'll say more.
But I agree with what you said.

It's easy to forget how horrible that was.  Everyone was so looking forward to taking on UCLA.  I actually had Harry Combes for bball instructor at MOG shortly thereafter.  He was all about the D.

Yeah, can’t say I recall Miller driving to the basket. Pretty much ever.

Which at the time was very controversial.

Honestly with NIL I really don’t think Illinois has much of a chance going forward.

SEC schools and high profile blue bloods will pay more than Illinois.

Illinois best chance was to cheat under the table to help level the field vs the blue bloods.  Can’t do that anymore since it’s open season

Everyone here is free to be a racist, sexist dbag. They’re not free from being called out on it.

Yeah, can’t say I recall Miller driving to the basket. Pretty much ever.

He certainly wasn’t as good as Ayo at driving but he did on occasion drive into the lane and with his big body could get a shot up,

Now he did mostly just shoot 3s like the other guys but he was at least capable of responsibly driving.

With Plummer if he puts it on the floor it’s to step back 3.  Seems to always get blocked at the rim.

Damonte gives you nothing off the dribble

Grandison/Hawkins can’t dribble

Frazier dribbles to shoot a jumper.

Really only Curbelo can dribble close to the basket and finish

Lol, this place is what it is.  Anyone can show up and say whatever they want.  Which is awesome.  I will say I feel like it would be a better place if you weren't in it, because I'm sure you are a piece of shit, but it's not my call.  I feel like pedophiles don't deserve a place here.  But again, that's not my call.

No matter.  I don't participate a lot here because of certain factors.  Certain posters on here made it clear how they felt about me, and I, for the most part, left.  So, have at it! Hell, Spark hates me, and we all know that Tempo hates me too.  And that's fine.  I give no fucks about any of that.

This place is about freedom, according to you.  So, have at it.

“Hate” is a strong word. Especially when applied to someone I’ve never met. If I hate anyone it’s Robb. But even then, I don’t know that I’d use that word.
