Help me out here:  I remember the Rupp Arena game and the possession call against Miami that resulted in changes.  Are there others I've forgotten?

Instant replay in football after the debacle in Champaign against Michigan in 2000. I remember that like it was yesterday. It was my sophomore year in college and we were listening to it while returning from a team workout in one of those not-really-a-van-but-not-quite-a-bus things. One of the guys on the team was a prick from Michigan who rooted for MSU in basketball and UM in football.

It was clear from the broadcast how bad the calls had been, and this fucker was gloating and calling us all whiners. Then he started singing “Hail to the Victors” and Coach started singing over him with “Fuck!” in place of “Hail!” That jerkoff was also relegated to backup status the rest of the year.

It soothed the wounds in the moment but man when I saw the replays I was sick to my stomach.

Thanks!  I remember the game but never realized it lead to the video review.  Just thinking about it still pisses me off!
