Because Hillary was that bad.

Obama was a pussy and let McConnell fuck him up the ass on Garland. Though given how fucking slow Garland is going on the Jan 6th cases, he is a big pussy too.

RIP Rowe v. Wade, per the Politico. Democrats only have themselves to blame. GOP playing power politics when the Dems play like a bunch of sissies.

Well, dog catches car.  Now what?  Mid-terms look a bit different?  One side gets motivated and the other relaxes?

It's almost as if some people knew a leak from the Supreme Court was going to happen.
Leaks from the Supreme Court just seem to happen all of the time. 🤔

It is the opinion of the Court that the Justices of the Court are not biologists.  ;D

Like all the red states with trigger laws set to take effect?  Both sides have been planning contingencies for quite a while now.

Why is it always whataboutism? Why can’t anyone just speak to the actual issue that’s being discussed on its own merit?

Sure took them a long time to leak it. The draft opinion is dated from February.

And certainly a good way to try and bury the lede, so to speak.

JD Vance on the TV talking about shipping jobs overseas but has an explicit goal to ship gynecology jobs from Ohio to Illinois

Who benefits most from the leak?

Republicans are shifting the discussion from the decision itself to the leak. It's almost as if they knew this was coming and had planned their response.

There is also the inoculation effect. Get this on the front burner now so it moves to the back burner by fall.

The leak is more likely to harden the votes of the 5 constitutional literalists than to persuade them to switch their votes.

I am not sure if the right to privacy applies to all abortions. I am 100% sure that the right to privacy is implicit in the bill of rights / Constitution. Also, just because a right is not enumerated does mean it does not exist.

The notion that Roe was egregious because it is based on an unenumerated right is fundamentally wrong. That 5 justices agree with this nonsense is scary.

And Roe had what, 5 Republicans in the 7-2 majority?

So much for having faith in the other justices and the clerks that internal deliberations are confidential.

Yep, regardless of who leaked it.  What if 4 of the conservatives got together and agreed to leak it to get Kavanaugh to stop being a wuss? That would be a tough room to sit in after that.

Where in the constitution does it say the SCOTUS has a right to privacy?

"... some high-profile elected officials, from both major parties, have said the draft opinion evidences that certain justices either lied or misled senators during their confirmation hearings. Here’s how the five reported votes to overturn Roe and Casey discussed abortion rights precedents during their vetting before the U.S. Senate."
