I will NEVER understand candidates that run for office and somehow don't believe their background will be examined with a fine tooth comb, followed by a microscope look into their lives from birth to present. 

No one is perfect, but geez Platner knew he had these ticking time bombs.  He got exactly what he deserved.  Even the oysters are going to be done with this guy.

I get what you're saying, but Platner has only been convicted in the media. I find the accuser worth of scrutiny as well. In June she had "positive memories" of her relationship with Platner. A few weeks later she says he raped her; what changed?
