And the notice and hearing are the standard.

You appear to be saying the Immigration Judges no longer adhere to the standard.
Have you examined the court documents in the "we don't need no stinking trial. Just have a judge declare them guilty. That should satisfy due process." cases ?

Actually, you seemed to saying that the only thing required was the removal order. What was your point?

Both the lower courts and SCOTUS found that the Trump Admin violated due process rights of migrants

The standard would be that an order of removal comes after notification and hearing. Not before.

I'm not sure that Trump "violated" due process rights. A case that went to SCOTUS involved Venezuelans being detained in Texas as Tren de Aragua and as members of a foreign terrorist organization subject to the Alien Enemies Act.
It's my understanding that the case went to SCOTUS because the suit was filed in DC. SCOTUS ruled that DC was not the proper venue and that habeas was required in Texas, not DC.
Where the suit was filed by the claimants was the issue and SCOTUS ruled that habeas occurs where the detention exists, not halfway across the country.
I'm not sure that the issue was due process.

How many lower court decisions going against Trump were eventually upheld upon going thru the appeal process ?

AI Overview
Yes, various federal courts, including the Supreme Court, have ruled that specific Trump administration policies violated the due process rights of migrants.

The U.S. Constitution guarantees due process rights to all people in the U.S., regardless of their immigration status.

The administration's policies, which aimed to speed up deportations, were consistently challenged in court for failing to provide adequate notice or a fair hearing.

Key areas where the administration was found to have denied due process include:

Expanded Expedited Removal The Trump administration expanded the use of "expedited removal," a process that allows for the deportation of immigrants without an appearance before an immigration judge, to cover people apprehended anywhere in the country who could not prove they had been in the U.S. for more than two years. Federal courts blocked this policy, with one judge stating it was unconstitutional because it afforded individuals "no process, let alone due process".

Alien Enemies Act The administration invoked the Alien Enemies Act, a 1798 wartime law, to deport hundreds of Venezuelan migrants to a notorious prison in El Salvador without traditional legal hearings. The Supreme Court ruled that the administration violated the migrants' due process rights by not giving them proper notice and reasonable time to contest their removal.

Denial of Bond Hearings The administration implemented a policy that sought to end bond eligibility for thousands of immigrants, requiring them to remain in detention for the duration of their cases. Federal judges across the country largely rejected this policy, ruling that detainees are generally entitled to bond hearings to determine if they are a flight risk or a danger to the community.

Limited Access to Legal Counsel and Courts Critics and legal experts argued that the administration weakened due process by cutting funding for legal service providers, firing immigration judges, and arresting people at courthouses when they arrived for scheduled hearings.

In total, federal judges ruled against the Trump administration's detention policies in hundreds of cases, consistently affirming the constitutional principle that all persons within the U.S. are entitled to due process of law.

Supreme Court finds Trump violated migrant due process rights with speedy deportations

President Donald Trump’s push to quickly deport migrants to foreign prisons without due process left him in a standoff with the high court.

Keep in mind that Maduro wasn’t “wanted” by anyone other than the U.S. So he was kidnapped, not captured.

He was indicted in 2020

Trump or Maduro?

Still waiting on the Trump trials. We'll at least get the Maduro trial.

But there is always a chance that Maduro buys a pardon via the Trump bitcoins.

A Venezuelan was stopped at the border in May 2024 and then let into the country.
A little over 2 weeks later he was allegedly involved with another Venezuelan, who had also been stopped at the border in 2024 and then released into the country, in the rape and murder of a 12 year old girl.

The rape and murder of Nungaray occured a few months after another Venezuelan who had entered the country in 2022 murdered Laken Riley.

Then Trump held a joint speech before members of Congress.
AI: Did democrats remain seated during ovation honoring jocelyn nungaray and laken riley

Yes, according to multiple reports and eyewitness accounts from the event, the majority of Democrats in Congress remained seated and did not applaud during the standing ovation when President Trump honored the families of Jocelyn Nungaray and Laken Riley during his joint address to Congress on March 4, 2025.

Jocelyn Nungaray's mother, Alexis Nungaray, who was present in the audience, later described the Democrats' lack of standing as "cowardly."

This occurred amid broader Democratic protests during the speech, including some members walking out or displaying signs, though not all reactions were uniformly tied to this specific moment.

Thank you for paying attention to this matter.

China sent representatives to Caracas to meet with Maduro.

Unfortunately this meeting never took place because Maduro was handcuffed with an unexpected meeting with US representatives and a plane to catch.

Congress had not been informed of the US delegation trip to Caracas, much to the dismay of several members of Congress, and were therefore unable to discuss the particulars of the meeting beforehand amongst themselves, with the failing NYT or with their counterparts in Venezuela.

I assume the representatives from China caught the 1st available flight out of Caracas.

People do bad things. Some are undocumented aliens. Others are Trump supporters

AI Overview

Research indicates a number of murders and acts of political violence have been committed by individuals identified as Trump supporters or by those motivated by far-right, white supremacist, or anti-government ideologies, which data shows are more frequent and deadly than left-wing extremist violence.

Specific cases linked by news reports and studies include:

*The El Paso Walmart shooting (2019): A gunman killed 23 people, stating his attack was a response to a "Hispanic invasion of Texas," echoing anti-immigrant themes frequently espoused in right-wing rhetoric.

*The Buffalo grocery store shooting (2022): A white supremacist motivated by "great replacement theory" rhetoric killed 10 Black shoppers.

*A Florida brawl (circa 2022): A fatal one-on-one dispute occurred between two men arguing over Donald Trump's business acumen.

*The killing of five social justice protesters in Portland (circa 2022): The perpetrator was described as a man immersed in far-right political rhetoric.

*The January 6th Capitol attack (2021): The violence on this day, perpetrated by Trump supporters attempting to overturn the election results, led to several deaths, including those of some participants and law enforcement officers.

"Pipe bomb attempts: A Trump supporter sent pipe bombs to leading Democrats.

Threats and plots: A man upset about the FBI search warrant at Mar-a-Lago attempted to breach an FBI field office and was killed in a standoff with police. Other arrests have been made for various threats and plots related to similar ideologies.

Broader Trends

*Analyses from organizations like the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) conclude that:

*The majority of politically motivated murders in the US over the last decade were committed by right-wing extremists.

*Far-right terrorism has consistently outpaced other forms of domestic terrorism, including from far-left networks, for decades.

Murder Rate Statistics

Reports from the non-partisan think tank Third Way found that, as of 2020 data, murder rates were 40% higher in states that voted for Trump compared to those that voted for Biden, a "Red State murder gap" that has widened over the past two decades.

These instances are part of a broader trend of increased political violence in the U.S. since the 2016 election, documented by academic studies and journalistic investigations.

Thanks for your attention to these matters.
