Ken Holtzman

Vaguely remember him. His prime was a bit before my time, and his return to the Cubs was after I threw the Cubs to the curb for trading my guy Rick Monday. I was 9-10 years old. Monday was my first favorite player.
"He commented more than once that, 'You know, Hitler did some good things, too,'" Kelly recalled to The Times. Kelly said he would usually quash the conversation by saying "nothing (Hitler) did, you could argue, was good," but that Trump would occasionally bring up the topic again.

Holtzman was traded to the Athletic for Monday.

Pretty sure Rick Monday had a big homer against the Expo in the 1981 playoff for the Dodger.

Surprised he is your favorite player since he saved the American flag from burning when he was a Cub.

I remember the Monday flag saving that Sunday afternoon, watching on Channel 3 out of Champaign.
RIP to Ken Holtzman. Lucky him he was traded to Oakland and got to play in World Series for them.

RIP Whitey.
He fueled some of the most exciting years in Cardinals history. I even forgave him for trading away Ted Simmons.

A former boss of mine was buddies with the Allman Brothers. He (my boss) lived a rock star life, but passed away at a fairly young age a couple of years ago. Probably late 50s. Probably from years of alcohol abuse.

Wow.

You sure it was the Allman Brothers and not Lynard Skynard? At this point,  I have to make sure the record is clear to me on your claims, in case the issue arises years down the road.

That chicken sandwich you ate today could have been shit. Who knows.
